At one of my favorite blogs, http://thelittlethingswedo.blogspot.com/, Lauren plays a game called “fill in the blank Friday”. I am playing along today because the subject is hair. I have spent my life having issues with my hair until I met “Nancy”. She understood all the struggles I have had with the 10 hairs I actually have on my head. She developed a relationship with me and my hair and through her skillfull cuts, trims and coloring, we have achieved a state where I actually love my hair. So much so that Nancy has helped me overcome my hair insecurities. I call her my “hairapist” because she helped me more than any other therapist ever could.Â
This is Nancy:Â Isn’t she gorgeous?
I would post a picture of me with the perms, but it would scare away my very few followers. Yes, I said “perms”. I had them for most of my life, it was dreadful. I was a child of the 80’s and the bigger the better the hair was the way we lived. Remember the hair bands? Think short versions of it, me.Â
Once I broke myself of the perm habit, I despaired over my lackluster fine hair for years. A friend referred me to my hairapist, where we have coexisted for nearly 12 years now! This is me before Nancy,

Karen, your Hairapist, Nancy is not only gorgeous on the outside but she’s the same inside too! I’ve known her since she was a teenage friend of my daughter’s and if you want to talk about BIG hair ask her to tell you about me taking pictures of around 5 of those girls from the back. . . . . a sea of hair that would not quit. We worked in the same salon next to each other for several years so please give her a hug for me next time you see her. I’d love to hear from her and see pictures of her darling children.
