Spring Buckets and Gilded Eggs

Spring Buckets and Gilded Eggs

I admit it, I am not always the best seasonal decorator, unless you can count seasonal paint colors in cans strewn about my kitchen……This year, I vowed to change that.  I had a bunch of pastel colored buckets I had purchased last year from the dollar  bins at Target:

I didn’t like the colors they came in, so I painted them all the same in cream.
I also had these cardboard Eggs from Michaels:
This confetti/basket grass from Easter last year:
I sprayed out the Eggs the same color as the buckets. Then I dry brushed them in Gold.  I would recommend Debi’s Design Diary Liquid Gold Patina.
Filled the buckets almost to the top with old newspapers, this was great, my daughter loved helping with this stage:
I lined them up on some old burlap that I cut as a runner.  Added a strip of leftover Red and White Ticking fabric:
I love the way they are all lined up, waiting for the Easter Bunny.
Happy Easter!
