Happy Monday lovely readers! I got “let petite” dresser on Craig’s list for next to nuthin. I sat with it for a bit, mulling over ideas of what it wanted to become. Â
While I was contemplating…..I cleaned out the drawers. Sometimes, you find the most amazing little treasures left behind:
(Not pictured, half, (only half, darn) of a plastic pink hair curler)
Finally it came to me, ASCP, Country Grey, Clear Wax, tinted with Coffee Bean acrylic paint (modern masters), and finished on the detail with Liberon Black Bison Wax in Dark Oak. Did you know my furniture speaks? It does. Don’t report me to the funny farm…..
Sanded the heck out of it, to get the yukky faux wood finish off.Â
Started with a heavy, ONE COAT ONLY Ladies! of Country Grey:
Sanded lightly with 400 grit to smooth the surface. This is where ASCP truly moves apart from the rest of the guys. It gets sooooooo soft with not a ton of sanding. Â
Distressed hight points, then added the ASCP clear wax, tinted with Cofee Bean acrylic Paint. Allowed it dry and buffed it. Followed with Liberon Black Bison wax in Dark Oak Wax. Repeat buffing.
Added the knobs, painted to match that I picked up at a garage sale, a huge bag, for about $1.
The top had a slight crack in it, this is where a dark wax can actually make a crack look good! See the dark area of the top? Just adds character.
I especially love the little tea strainers, my sister gave me these as a house warming gift when we first bought our home. Aren’t they sweet?Â
 Let’s see it again:

ahhhh, “Le Petit” is so much happier now. How do I know? She told me….
Still setting up shop over at Etsy, in the mean time, this will be heading to my “space” at Paris Flea.Â
