On with the Post!
We have all seen these tables, maybe you even have one in your home?
I picked up a similar table on Craigslist for free, with the intention of dressing it up. Well……6 months later it was still in Furniture Purgatory (the side of my yard). It had paid dearly from the elements. The top was rotten, the veneer was peeling off all the sides, and let’s just say, it wasn’t stellar to begin with.
I have been wanting to create a work table in my office, and had the idea to use the Farm Table with a new top. I removed the legs and saved the hardware. Tossed the top and sides, and started over. Cut new side pieces to fit my space, reattached the legs and cut and attached a new top.Â
(I will go over all of this in detail tomorrow in Part Deux)
The legs were originally white, but I wanted them to have a rustic look, so I painted the legs and the sides in one coat ASCP, “Graphite”.
It looks great. All perfectly weathered and vintage-y with the paint treatment. Love the Coco! I have a big farm table and my dinning room table… both covered in junque' as I type. he he. Guess I better go address that 😉 Happy Monday.
It turned out fabulous! Love the color combo…
