Friday Feature #53 and Mes Préférés

Uncategorized

Happy weekend (almost) everybody!  This could have been one of the biggest blurs of a week.  I finished two huge projects, which for me, is well HUGE!  One of the projects is being shared over at my friend Kelly’s blog of  Eclectically Vintage (You know the girl with the showroom beautiful kitchen?) , where I am guest posting today!  And, it involves some of my favorite items, Junque!!!

Enough about Moi, let’s talk about you.  Let’s see what fabulous things you shared that caught me eye!

As always, if you were featured, please feel free to grab a “Celebre” button from my Buttons page!

I have such a soft spot for benches, and this bench from Fine Craft Guild is a welcome lovely.  The before is well, ugly, but good thing 1st impressions don’t always stop people from getting to know someone, or something better!

I love miniature things that were made into GIANT life sized things, like this ruler.  I hate measuring, and even more, I hate measuring when there has to be precise increments.  I am more of a “eyeballing” it kind of gal.  Good thing for me, this project from First Home love life  shows detailed instructions on how to make this life sized ruler.  Love it!

It’s no secret I love old, worn out things, and I love to make new things look that way too.  I love this project on how to do antique a mirror.  The tutorial makes it so simple!  From my friend Julia at 551 East

There seems to be no end to the creativity of home made play kitchens. Even though my kids are far too old for these, I still LOVE to look at them.  This one looks like it was straight out of a very expensive European Children’s toy catalog, it is that good!  From Dans-le-Townhouse.

I love furniture knobs, and I love doing something to dress up old ones.  This clever blogger added jewelery!  Making the “jewelery” of your furniture, into  double duty, Jewelery for the jewelery.  FromGentoGen

I love making chalkboards out of anything, but I never thought about doing it to the top of jar lids!  What a cute idea!  From Cottage in the Oaks

And for le grande finale….I STILL can’t get enough of the Union Jack on Furniture, and you won’t believe how this one was created.  With Stain!!!  And the best part, this table was free.  Now you are speaking my love language.  From Domestic Imperfection.

Thank you so much to everyone who linked up.  I love seeing all the amazing talent you have each week.

Now it is your turn!!!

Now for “Le Rules”

My mom use to keep a yardstick handy to whack me on the butt when I was a kid….. I think I should tell my kids that story than make one the size of the feature ruler.

Your nightstand makeover is insanely gorgeous! (aside – who throws away garbage cans…weird? Just happened to notice that in one of the dumpsters) But back to the important stuff – love the paint finish you did on the nightstand…and mismatched knobs.
Thanks for hosting – have a great weekend.
