Friday Junque Wrap Up

Le Junque, Uncategorized

It’s Friday, FINALLY!  The link party is still going strong, and will run all weekend.  You can hop over to it from HERE.

I thought it might be fun to wrap up what treasures this week has brought me.  Everything here was FREE, except for my new favorite DIY project, which was only $20, and in excellent condition….

Presenting, Le Junque:

Free Table from CL, wood boxes that trees came in. (I have plans people and husband…)

Fantastique pile of reclaimed wood that I braved big bugs, spiders and snakes to get to.  All done while wearing my running shorts.  Yuk.  Don’t recommend this attire for junking.

Wood scraps found in dumpster while doing “research” for my guest post @Eclecticallyvintage.com

Part of an old office/armoir that was next to a dumpster in an apartment complex.  Chalkboards anyone?

I know I do not need anymore doors. Maybe I can just start adding rooms on to my house and put doors on that lead to no where like the Winchester mystery house, then charge a fee for visitors.  This could be my kids college fund!  BTW, those are upside down cabinets that were free too.  The guy who has them has a bunch more for me, just have to enlist my husband to help with the big ones.  He doesn’t know this yet…..

My new love.  This Brown Chair from a thrift store for only $20.  And it is in perfect condition.  So I won’t have to do anything more than new upholstery and clean up the frame.  It is magnificent isn’t it????

If you had some fun finds this week, I would love to hear about it!

    Omg–where to begin!
The table—I’m jealous as can be—.
The pair of doors need to be saved. Next cool dresser/nightstand you find, build into an armoire (of sorts) and use those doors! OR, next cool dresser you find, gut and apply the doors to it!
The chair, I’m coming for it–it’s mine girl!

OMG we are so much alike….. I found some mirrors yesterday and today I purchased some end tables my hubby doesn’t even know about…..I hid them Shhhh way behind some other stuff I have piled on the other end of my creative space….. I also found a paneled door and some wood trim in a Sonic dumpster……. looks like someone thought that was the local dump 🙂 It’s okay gals like us see as treasure and haul it away…… Have a fun weekend…….P.S. I am in love with the free table 🙂

Seriously, I can’t believe your scores! I paid $100 per dresser the last two I bought in the “before” stages – ugh!! and I thought CA was more expensive than MI.

Well I do love that pile of wood ‘ya got there……. and if I had an award for the Brave Bug Blogger, you would get it. I’m thinking the only way I would of braved Spiders and Snakes is singing it on my ipod in my running shorts.
