Easy Furniture Makeover for Outside
This is the first of two posts. I will be showing a bar cart I redid and added something special for the top in a few days.
With Spring upon us, I was inspired to do a little Garden Vignette. I purchased both of these chairs at a garage sale for $20 in total. I purchased the table for about $5. The table is made of composite plastic.
Outdoor Furniture Before
Can you believe the before? Uhhhggglyyy!
After a thorough cleaning with TSP, getting rid of the little bug carcasses, dust, and who knows what else…..
How to Prepare your Outdoor Furniture for Paint
I sprayed both the chairs and table with two coats of my favorite Zinsser Spray Primer. I followed up with several coats of some Antique White Spray Paint I had on hand.
The Seats needed new pads, here is what they looked like before…
It looks like the last time they were covered was in the 80s…….
Choosing Outdoor Fabric for Outdoor Chairs
I recovered the seats with an indoor/outdoor fabric I had leftover from another project. I love the bright cheery feel it has now. The set is all “set” for next weekend’s sale at Paris Flea Market!
Too bad it isn’t staying, it looks especially cute next to my Wood Pallet Garden:
Happy Spring!
What a fabulous job – it truly looks amazing! You’re so inspiring!
Hope you have a fabulous week,
Marie
