Is it Friday yet????? Nope, it is only Thursday, but Friday is just around the corner, and at 8:20 tonight, my sister’s plane arrives for a weekend of fun, so I am almost, almost off the “mom” clock!
But, before I take off for all my fun adventures, I wanted to share with you some of the amazing projects I picked out from last week’s party. I say it every week, but I don’t think I will ever stop being amazed at how creative you all are. So many amazing uses of paint, fabric, moulding, scraps, I love it all.
So without further adieu……
First up we have this GORGEOUS blue cabinet from one of my favorite bloggers. Amy from the Salvage Company. Not only is she so uber talented, she is hilarious to boot. Also, I loved that she named this piece, “Not Laverne”. You have to go see her post to see why….
I love this table so much from Domestic Imperfection. I almost hopped on a plane and went to go visit it myself in person, but I thought this blogger might think me a little odd to show up on her front porch to hang out with this table, which is where it started. Instead, I am going to try this technique out myself, again and again, and again.
You know I love free, and this little ruffled lamp shade was made by Shoestring Elegance with things she had on hand, FREE. It turned out very, very cute. Tempted to search my craft pile to make something similar!
I love any and all uses of old windows, Decorate with a little bit did something different that I haven’t seen before. She added this fun vintage looking fabric and made them into headboards. What a great idea!
Artsy Va Va shared this amazing garden marker project. I know many of us are getting our gardens in, and every year I try to come up with something new to mark my veggies with. Last year I used paint stir sticks, but my then puppy decided they were delicious to chew on (the stir sticks, not the veggies), so we ended up with a lot of mystery plants. I think my dog might stay away from these markers!
Does anyone use a bread box anymore? I didn’t think so, but that doesn’t mean they can’t go to live a beautiful life doing something else. Twelve-O-Eight shares this genius idea, with a tutorial on how to make an old bread box into a storage and charging station!
I am loving all the versions of planters I am seeing everywhere. This is an especially cute one from Doodle Bug. Complete with an awesome tutorial on how she did it!
And for the last amazing project…..Soul Style shared this amazing Ikea Mirror Makeover. She took this plain mirror, added the “S” decorative moulding and painted it out. The scrolly “S”‘s? She got them from some other furniture she had and used for all the pieces. Now that is my kind of Redoux!
