Link Party #65 and Mes Préférés

Uncategorized

Do you sometimes feel like Fred Flintstone, or at the other end, George Jetson on the dog walk, and it is going so fast you can’t get off of it?  This is how my last two weeks have been. Fun, but oh my, fast paced.  My kids go back to school next Tuesday!!!  We are trying to squeeze in the last drops of summer fun.  Monday we went to a nearby amusement park, “Great America”.  It was GREAT, but that park is huge!  I carried a backpack all day with everyone’s things, ate every fried junk food offering, and screamed my lungs out on all the thrill rides.  The next day I felt like I needed to move……..very…….slowly……..but, no choice, Emma came over and we had work to do!!!!  Paris Flea Market is in one week, I increased my space again,  and we are having a HUGE parking lot sale to boot!  Let’s just think positive thoughts that I will actually get it all completed with minimal stress!

Enough about moi, let’s talk about you!

Here are some of the fabulous link ups I wanted to share:

I can’t get enough of Dear Emmeline.  This girl is a giant whirlwind of talent.  This week, she shares how to make your own nautical knobs!  For real!

Catherine at Freddy and Petunia share the newest makeover of her nephew’s dresser.  This lady has talent coming out her fingers AND her toes!  Stars and Stripes baby!

Do you love the look of Vintage Inspired Basket Lights?  Intimidated to do them yourself?  Pressing On shares how easy this is to achieve, and wire’s it herself!!

Do you love to try out new colors?  I do, and I really love combining and layering colors.  This adorable little French Side Table gets a completely new look with two different CeCe Caldwell’s paints.  This cute piece from Bungalow 47

I am always fascinated to see a good room makeover, especially bathrooms.  These can be challenging because you have a small space, and you want to make a big impact.  Creatively Living has so many beautiful details, you have to visit her blog to see the rest!  I love this collection she shared.

Did you know you can stencil with Lace?  I have tried it, but never on a piece of furniture.  The talented Emily MaCleoud from Emily’s Upcycled Furniture does this trick beautifully!

I love when bloggers share “manly” furniture.   This is such a clever makeover from Never A Dull Day she calls it her “manmoire”! Check out the entire post to see all the fun makeover details.

Do you have an old shutter or two around your house?  I do!  I love this repurposed shutter to a bathroom caddie!  From Artsy VaVa.

One of my favorite games I play with my kids is “Othello”.  As they get older, it gets harder to beat them!  Sutton Daze shared this amazingly creative game table:

And for “Le Grande Finale”……Do you know Lauren from West Furniture Revival? Check her out!  She is amazingly talented, and on Mondays, she does her own roundup of amazing furniture.  She shared 25 dressers that were inspiring (and guess what was in there??  My Vintage Caster special!)  I wish I had time to replicate every single dresser she shared.  Fabulous!

This is one of my favorites, check her post to see who did it!

Every piece is wonderful, but I’m a bit intrigued by the flag one. I have an old dresser like that we inherited at our old building. Hated all that stuff till I started reading blogs, now they are treasures waiting to happen.

By means of internet one can excess his favorite
shopping website and can select and shop the desired product.
Also one has to keep in mind about the shipping costs if there
are any. For example, if I have a group that meets at Borders, I’ll always buy something
there even if it would be cheaper at Amazon, because this subsidizes the space that my group is using.
