Trashy Tuesday, I clean up very well

Le Junque

Welcome to Trash Tuesday (sorry Wednesday), where we talk trash, literally.

This week, we are LITERALLY talking trash, as in an entire UHaul truck full of it and an entire minivan with the seats all stowed away……

Do you remember the pictures I shared with you last week?  Yes, they were quite scary for me too.  I knew I could finally come clean about my trash because Mark and I had planned last Saturday as trash removal day.  I just didn’t realize how much I had accumulated.

To be perfectly fair, some of it was from my old storage closets that Mr. Red and I had demolished last week to make way for more efficient storage.  There was also a BBQ that had lived a long and faithful life, but died recently and needed to be removed from the premises.  But…..most of it was my trash.  Tons and tons of scrap wood, that well, should have been left where it came from.  About one hundred and one wood pallets of all shapes and sizes, and heaven knows what else went.  But when all was said and done, I have a glorious amount of furniture left, all waiting for a Redoux.

It was a long, hot disgusting day.  At about 1:00 it was 103, but I was a woman with a purpose.  I knew if I could “organize” some of my junk, I could be so much more productive.  We finally finished about 3:00.  I wasn’t looking, (or smelling) too lovely at this point.  Here is my before:

Luckily, a shower and a little makeup do wonders.  I had to go out in public and didn’t want to scare anyone.  Here is my “after”

And…..Here is my before of my side yard again:

And here is my after!

I even took pictures of each piece and will be categorizing them so I really know what I have!  I was so happy to get rid of all this stuff, I promised myself I wasn’t bringing ANYTHING else home until it was cleaned out.

I even passed this sign!

But then this morning I saw this table on someone’s lawn, waiting to be picked up with the trash……What’s one more piece of junque?

WOW!!! That’s amazing, don’t you just love to jump into a big mess and get it cleaned up and all organized? So rewarding even if it is exhausting. And now I can’t wait to see what you do with it. My group of friends that always go to the Paris Flea Mkt on Friday mornings are planing on going to the parking lot sale on Saturday, hope to see you there. Now get your paint cans out and get to work! (if you haven’t started already) lol

Too funny, I have the same changing table hanging around, too! 🙂 It’s still white w/ the shelves. It was free to me 14+ years ago. LMK how you repurpose yours!

You clean up very nicely! And thrilled to see you cleaning up and cataloging your pile of loot! I have the same little red tool chest on casters (except mine has a red door and the rest is gray. They are definitely twins separated at birth and need to be reunited!

You passed the test by passing by that desk – but every girl has her breaking point! I would have picked up that table too (hopefully, you didn’t pick it up on your way to dinner)!
