Link Party #68 and Mes Préférés!

Uncategorized

Happy almost weekend friends!!

Thank you for your patience while I took some time off this week.  I didn’t get as caught up as I would have liked, but I did get a lot done!  I have a fantastique Trashy Tuesday for you next week, where you will not BELIEVE my bookshelf transformation, where I used a free footboard for trim, foam core board, old bun feet I pulled off something else years ago……

I have a really fun dresser to share with you…..Hint, it has a distinct nod to “Le Union Jack”

And, I found more fabulous Junque!!!  (Not what suffering husband wanted to hear).

I also am moving again, AGAIN!  To an even better spot at Paris Flea Market.  We have undergone some wonderful upgrades and changes, and my new space will allow me to showcase my work, which is primarily painted in CeCe Caldwell’s, right across from where we sell the paint.  I couldn’t be more excited.

Enough about moi, let’s talk about you!  What did you share this week that blew my flip flops off?  (No socks here, it has been over 100, even the pink in my hair took off for greener pastures, it was so hot).

The first feature, was the first link up!!!  This table is drop dead gorgeous from Thrifty Inspirations.  I would expect to find this in an expensive furniture boutique!

I LOVE this transformation from Trash To Treasure.  Not only did she change up the chandelier, she had no more room on her ceiling, so her father wired it for the bird perch she had sitting around!  Now this is a REDOUX!

Who doesn’t love a room makeover, usually we see them done with paint, new walls, furniture, etc.  This makeover from Sew a Fine Seam was all done with fabric!  You won’t believe what ugly couch is hiding under this adorable slip cover, and how about that Ottoman?  I want one NOW!  (I feel like Veruca Salt from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I WANT IT NOW!!!!)

This is a beautiful REDOUX from Domestic Imperfection, wow there was a lot of trial and error, and I love that Ashley, the talent behind this piece, shares all of it!  The end result is stunning, and it was kind of piece of junk to start with!

You won’t believe the next Redoux.  This is from Soul Style.  I have to share the before dressers, so you can really appreciate the afters!  I would never think that these funky pieces could look so current with just a few  simple changes!  Great work!

Have you tried Freezer Paper Transfers?  I have, and usually they work great, but not on fabric.  I don’t have enough patience to break it down and show someone else how to do it either, but Our Prairie Home shared her amazing no-fail tutorial for doing this on fabric, and the fantastic pillows she created.  I want to make some tonight!

Thank you so much to everyone who links up, I truly appreciate that you share your talent and creativity with me each week.

Yowza!! I’m inspired! I’m tackling my aunt’s old secretary this weekend and I”m scared AND excited! This will be by far the most ambitious “redoux” I’ve ever undertaken! Wish me luck!

Thank you for featuring my dining set Karen!! It sold this morning actually and it’s off to a wonderful new home!

Those dressers you featured are SO exactly like a project I just dolly-ed into my living room that’s been primed with no inspiration! I think I will follow suit with the all white and silver hardware with stained/dark top. It’s beautiful!!

    Linking up now 🙂

    XOXO,
    Rachel
