Link Party #73 and Mes Préférés!

Uncategorized

Happy Thursday!  Not having the internet for a few days was actually a much needed break from technology.  Although I missed all of you, I did force myself to be a bit more productive.  Down side, I have tons of email to sort through, and many blogs to catch up on!

I had so much fun going through all the fabulous link ups.  Talent, talent and more talent!

Are you old enough to remember using the Card Catalogs at the Library?  I sure am, and I am having card catalog envy!  This is a beautiful upcycle of a card catalog from Our Prairie Home.

Do you love a good Anthro knock off?  I LOVE a good Anthro knock off. Especially when it costs less than $2.00 v. the $98 Anthro price!  Kim at Too Much Time on My Hands shows us how to make Zinc letters with spray paint and dark wax.  Perfect!

Who doesn’t love a good old Stereo or TV cabinet Redoux.  And for only $10 bucks to start with, what a deal!  I am keeping my eyes open for one of these now.  City Farmhouse transformed this old thing to very cool console, complete with storage for firewood and upholstered back panels.  My idea of a true “Redoux”!

Before:

After:

I have a weakness for any kind of sewing table, sewing stool, sewing anything makeover.  They are often found for practically nothing at thrift stores.  This adorable little sewing table (chest) from Betsy Speert is the cutest printer stand I have ever seen.  Check out those fun details!  I would love to have that in my office.  Betsy, do you have another one?

This next project is from My Indulgences.  The little hamper/basket she started with was a piece of junk for sure.  But after a few trial and errors, and lots of patience, this clever girl transformed this ugly thing into this work of art.  I am telling you, Ballard Designs will be selling the knockoff soon.  Gorgeous!

This is the before:

And this is the after!

Have you come across some old wood, or natural wood topped piece?  Copy Cat Alley shared a super easy way to clean up old wood, then refinished the top.   I never thought to try this Oxiclean method!  What a gorgeous piece of furniture it is now.

Before awesome cleaning method:

After cleaning and beautiful stain.  A new table is born!

Thank you to everyone who linked up! I am sorry if I didn’t leave a comment, I really try to get to each link, and I am LOVE that you keep sharing your talent with me each week.
