Link Party #92, and Les Features

Uncategorized

Happy Link Party Friends!  I love the variety of projects you share with me each week.  Each and every one of you inspire me, and I am so grateful you share your talents again and again!

I love the idea of “shopping your house” before you buy something new.  This is exactly what City Farmhouse did.  She wanted a more grown up area of her home, and not just toys for decor . She had this bench in her basement and dressed it up to be inside, complete with a gorgeous feather bed for a cushion!  I am a huge fan of benches instead of sofas.

I love out of the ordinary dressers, and Simply Salvaged shared this dresser she completed with nail head trim in a super cool design.  Now that is something you don’t see everyday!

I just can’t ever get enough of Union Jack on things.  I have never seen it done so big!  Cyndi from Blue Star Antiques had a blue cabinet, she won some Frog Tape from another blogger’s giveaway, and she created herself a gorgeous Union Jack!  She has all the steps on her post too.

I know we see those giant entertainment centers around that no one wants anymore.  They can be taken apart and used as parts!  The Honeysuckle Bus Stop used old shelves from one of those to create these adorable photo frames.  Now that is upcycling at its best!

You know me and my love of all things free in the furniture and accessories world.  Catherine from Freddy and Petunia definitely shares this love.  She is one talented gal and make anything out of stuff you would never dream of.  Like a headboard from the front of an old Chevy??? She made a new seat and back for this old chair, using upholstery webbing.  I love it!  If you don’t follow Freddy and Petunia, then you are missing out!

Here is another trash to treasure.  Dear Olympia, that cute girl in Hawaii!  Took this old hutch top and turned it into a shelf!  She even used one of my favorite CeCe Caldwell’s colors.  Alaska Tundra Green!  Love!

And finally, this is a major makeover.  An old Pine Cabinet, that looks quite unremarkable, got a beautiful new look in a gorgeous Frenchy French way.  A Painted Past gathers up work from other artists who don’t always have a blog and shares them at her site.  Go check it out, and while you are there, if you have CeCe Caldwell’s projects you would like to share, she is always happy to receive them.

Jen’s bench is fabulous – I’ll have to scour my basement – I’m sure there are dozens of things I could paint lurking down there!
