Welcome to #96 and the Fab Features. That sounds like it could be a really good rock band name! How fitting, because the link ups last week totally rocked! Here are some of my picks:
You light up my world! (Sorry, Debbie Boone reference for those old enough to know who this is and the song…). The coolest tutorial on how to make your own Crystal Drum Shade Chandelier from Between the Rafters Easy to follow instructions, and very little cost. I wish I had time to make one today!
You know my extreme love (obsession) with junque and making Frankenfurniture. This will blow you away. The Weekend Country Girl took a DRESSER apart and then flipped it upside down and made a hall bench with storage above. Yes, you heard me right. This, in its former life was a dresser. You MUST go see the post to see how they did it, you can make one too!
I am in the market for new Window treatments around here. In the market, meaning, I have to come up with a way to DIY them. I love this project from new Friday Link Party Friend, Laura at Life We Live 4. She shares an awesome tutorial too!
I am in love with this desk. I love the color, I love the detail around the edge, I want it! I have been seeing this around the blogosphere and am so thrilled to share it here too. From Sunflower Hugs, the Mustard Desk.
Now here is something to brighten your day! I love this desk and how fun it is. From Lauren at West Furniture Revival, she even painted the top with Chalkboard paint, and the fun little chair bright red.
And to end on a light note…..(I just can’t help myself). I have been wanting to figure out a way to make one of those fantastic Orb Light fixtures, in fact, last night I was examining my Ballard’s Design catalog wracking my brain! I should have known this was in my link party, make your own with embroidery hoops. From The Vintage Estate. Super easy instructions. I am making one soon!
Merci!!!! I learned so much this week from all your fantastique link ups. I want to announce my new Weekend Link Party friend: Laura at Life We Live 4! She is is super talented, and has a fun weekend link party too. So show her some love and share your project with her too, as long as my old, but good friends!
Also, not to take the fun out of it, but be nice and follow le rules……
