Welcome to Trashy Tuesday. I am talking all kinds of trash here today. I found a wide assortment of goodies this past week, including making a couple of new trashy friends! Well, not exactly friends, but I could probably call them coworkers.
When I did my usual drive behind my Target Shopping Center, I found this weird looking little chest of drawers. I plant to change out the drawer fronts and top, but that is the least of my story. When I pulled up to nab this. Another truck pulled up at the same time. DARN! Someone else got there first!
Turns out, this guy was just loading up the pallets that were for free. And that’s not all. While he was there, another truck pulled up! ACK!! Now I have the real competition!
Nope, this guy was going for the same pallets, instead he loaded up the card board. Wow, people are making all kinds of side incomes these days. And I thought it was just the normally dumped stuff. And I thought I was not normal!
I spied this dresser laying in the dirt at my favorite give away church. You know, the one that they gave away (to moi) all those awesome doors last year? They are remodeling again, and guess who was there to pick through the rubble????
This picture comes complete with a creepy shadow of me!
Here is my dresser. I actually got a complete set this time! The handles are some home made funky towel holders. I wish I could make them work, but I really don’t need more towel holders at present.
I found this neat little bucket today, complete with real garbage in it!
Last, but hardly least, this BARN DOOR! Use your imagination. It is most likely NOT a barn door, but someone’s garden gate. But answer me this. Why was it leaning up behind a dumpster at my favorite Apartment Dumpster?????? There are no such gates there! I am determined to find it a place for it in my home somewhere. Stay tuned.
Oh…and here is a sneak peek for tomorrow’s post. A table I pulled from the actual dump probably almost two years ago. (then went to live a slow death in my outdoor junk pile). I got this table, the blonde one on top that is tipping over?, with just a smile and a “look the other way” from my friendly dump personnel. You won’t believe how much better it looks now! And so does that pile! Form more info on my strange habit, or if you want to make your hoarding look like a small collecting hobby to your significant other, read THIS post.
That’s it for today. Hope you have a totally trashy week.
seriously- a barn door in the trash????? who did that?!?!

Wow you got some really neat stuff! It actually looks like one of those desks may be a vintage Young & Hinkle “Windjammer” desk as seen in movie E.T. I had one before that I was able to clean up and sell as is just because it was in good condition and had the cool factor – although part of me still wanted to re-do it…
How cool! I love free stuff. Even better if it needs a little lovin to make it special.
Wow – free junk in that old bucket!
You know how to score – and that old door is amaze balls!
