Link Party #102, and Le Features!

Uncategorized

SUPER HAPPY THURSDAY!!  Why is it so super?  By the time this goes live and you are enjoying the features, I will be gallivanting about town with my BBFF.  That’s Best Blogging Friend Forever.  Shelly Andrade from Shizzle Design is joining me at our fabulous fundraiser to benefit the Crohns and Colitis foundation this Saturday.  Know who else will be there?  CeCe Caldwell herself!  We have worked very hard to put together one awesome fundraiser.  If you are coming, you are in for a big treat!

I will be sharing some adventures with Shelly next week.  So far we have Pedis, Junquing, Zip Lining, Eating and lots of laughing on our agenda.  Better get on with the party so I can go have fun!

I have a special feature to share with you today.  My friend Vanessa from At The Picket Fence shared the most heart-felt post about how we allow voices in our head to hold us back from achieving our goals, moving forward, or think we are good enough to move forward.  Vanessa and I have shared some of the same trials, and I know how heartbreaking these can be and how they can work their way into all areas of your life and bring you down.  This is not a “Redoux” in the strictest sense, but it is a Redoux for all of us to think about.  Vanessa calls it “Patty Popular”, the voice that holds us back.  We all need to give Patty a going away party with a one way ticket. Getting rid of Patty can be our greatest “Redoux” of all.  Please head over to read the entire post.

I love to see versions of a Zinc Finish.  This from The Vintage Estate is just gorgeous.  I love how she transformed this table! She has a great step by step tutorial to follow too!

This next project is just yummy!  Love these French Tables from Dirt Stains and Paint.  The gold dipped legs? Those are just dessert on an already gorgeous entrée.  LOVE!

This is one of the neatest Redoux’s.  From Saltaire Restoration, Rhea and her husband Dwayne are building this bed from old shutters.  They also have bench swings they build from old shutters too.  You must go check these out.  This gives new meaning to the word “Redoux”!

This is the coolest project.  Allison from Refunk my Junk is no stranger to furniture Redouxs.  She used the newest CeCe Caldwell color, Beckley Coal, and believe it or not, this is only one coat!  But what I really love is how she did the stencils. She used a stencil, outlined it in chalk, then free-handed the paint in.  I love the hand drawn look, versus a perfectly crisp finish of a stencil.  She shows you how at her blog!

NOW for the Link Up. Please be nice and follow le rules……

#1 Please be considerate and take a “Fridays at Redoux” button from my BUTTONS page to display on your post that you are linking up here. If you are just joining for the first time, you can go back and add edit an already published post and add link buttons. Merci!

#2 After you have linked up, please go visit my fantastic Friday Link Party friends. They all have wonderful projects linked up that you may not see here, so be sure to hop on over.
