I am playing switcheroo on you this week.  Trashy Tuesday will be Trashy Wednesday, and today is all about the fundraiser and my FUN weekend!

Our BIG fundraiser at Paris Flea Market, benefiting the Crohns and Colitis Foundation was Saturday.  We had and AMAZING turnout.  Even though we were working so hard to get it ready. Running around at the event to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves.  We had SO MUCH FUN.  When you put 36 creative people together in one room, all to support such an amazing foundation, MAGIC happens.

We felt so honored to see so many people turning out to help us support this cause.  Crohns is a very serious disease that affects 400,000 – 600,000 people in North America alone.  Lonae, our store manager’s daughter is a Crohns sufferer, but an amazing advocate for those who are afflicted with this disease.

Before I share with you my day, I want to point out the back drop in my pictures, the MURAL!  One of our consignors is an amazingly talented muralist.  This mural spans almost the entire length of our new warehouse space.  It was painted almost exclusively in CeCe Caldwell paints and products.  Now I bet you haven’t seen anything like this before!

We had a wonderful welcome and fun introduction to CeCe, then we got down to business.  We learned to paint, wet distress, mix colors to come up with a gorgeous shade of Navy Blue and Coral, glaze, wax, and use AGING DUST! After we spent the day learning, everyone  put their new techniques into practice, painting the projects they brought from home.

It was so much fun to see everyone working together.

Lonae (manager of Paris Flea Market and Room With a Past) was all smiles, like she always is!  And I think Susan was looking heavenward.  Grateful it all came together so perfectly!

Shelly had a fan that flew up from Long Beach.  An hour flight from Southern California, just to attend and meet her!

And two of my favorite people. CeCe Caldwell and Susan Goodman.  Both creative women who have changed my life in ways I never imagined.
