Welcome to another edition of Trashy Tuesday, where we talk trash, LITERALLY! I cooked up something different this week!
It isn’t every day that you find something cooking in the trash. Well, I didn’t actually find something cooking per se, but it recently had been used to cook. On a little run through near my Target Shopping Center a few weeks back, I spied this out of the corner of my eye.
It came without a plug, but the lid and even the cooking temperature guide were intact. Apparently, so were remnants of the last meal cooked in it. I have a pretty strong stomach, nothing much in the yuk department bothers me.
I really appreciated the previous owner had left this grease trap, with cooking temperatures in there. It could come in handy the next time I want to cook up a Goose, a Ham-Butt End or a Veal Shoulder, not to mention a Fruit Cake or some Date Bars for dessert.
I decided I probably wouldn’t be rolling up some ribs. Instead, I cooked up something entirely off the menu. Here is the recipe:
Turn the dial all the way up for maximum results.
Next, fill with soil and your favorite annuals. It will continue to cook as Spring turns into summer. Be sure to baste it often as the temperature rises.
If properly maintained, you should be able to enjoy the feast all Summer long.
