Trashy Wednesday and the fun continues……

Le Junque

Welcome to Trashy….Wednesday?  Yes, we are all mixed up here at Redoux Interiors today.    So mixed up, that I have combined my Junque with my garden again!

But before I get to the junque, do you like junk food?  Shelly and I do!  If you ever visit me in the Bay Area, this is a must stop.  Fentons Creamery in Oakland.  My family grew up on Fentons, and I try to get there at least a few times a year.  Because, truly, everyone needs this much Ice Cream in their lives.

But before we took off for Ice Cream, Shelly was curious to see some of my “stash”.  We were having gorgeous weather, and Shelly decided to do a little gardening while she was here.

My vegetable garden is growing nicely, but it isn’t much to look at.  Shelly helped me junque it up in no time!

Do you remember my Time Out Bench?  It holds an Asparagus Fern a sweet reader sent me from Texas!

How about those rusty things I grabbed behind my local High School when I was playing Tennis with my kids!

Care for a headboard with your Zucchini?

I couldn’t believe the makeover Shelly gave my yard in 5 minutes or less.  And it was a two-for!  I got my yard jazzed up, and my junque pile diminished!

My garden now looks stunning and is in keeping with my Junque theme I have going in my backyard.  You can read about my Side Patio made out of Junque HERE.

But of course we snuck in some dumpster diving too……We found this gumball machine at one of my Magic dumpsters:  (You can read the whole series, there is a button on my side bar if you really want the dig on dumpsters) .  I don’t think it will be dispensing Jaw breakers again, but it will make a cool plant stand or something when I get the top part off!

We also separated these leg parts from a broken table.  You never can have too many of these things:

It was such a fun weekend.  Having a friend to junque with was even better.  Best of all, it was just wonderful to spend time with one of my favorite people.

I will have to go back to Dumpster Diving O Solo Mio….

Oh man — wish I could’ve teleported to join you two. There is a kind of magic when junkers unite, am I right?

From the moment I saw the posts talking about my Shizzle Shelly hooking up with My Good Time Charlie I was so jealous. Oh and thank you Shelly for making that pile of Karens a bit smaller with the garden art, I worry about seeing her on the next hoarders episode.

You need to go visit Shelly during cherry season. But tell me true….did you eat that whole ice cream thing?
