Happy Wednesday! I have to give you full disclosure that I am posting this partly because I am having an extended stay at procastination station.
I have 5 million plus things to round up and get together for Paris Flea this weekend. My kids are out of school in two days. There is the usual end-of-the-year wrap up list of things. I have a mountain of laundry to climb and conquer.
I get distracted so easily, especially if it is something sparkly and Silver!
The table started out like this, nice bones, out of date stain and color.
I painted the top in CeCe Caldwell’s Pittsburg Grey, and the base in CeCe’s Young Kansas Wheat. I knew I wanted the top to have some sparkle. I painted one thin coat of Modern Masters Silver Metallic Paint over the Pittsburg Grey. I then went over the entire piece with some leftover dark brown glaze I had. (I hate to waste anything).
This table would be a perfect landing spot for keys, loose change, stuff you accumulate and want to dump when you walk in the door. That kind of heavy usage requires a heavy duty top coat. I used CeCe Caldwell’s new product, “Endurance”. It is super hard, very durable, and is perfect for any surface that needs to hold up to daily wear and tear.
My shiny bright table is heading to Paris Flea tomorrow. We open Thursday night at 5!
My table will be showing off the sparkle and shine at these lovely parties:
