Greetings earthlings. I have been living on Planet DustXO for the past few days. Not really, but it feels like it! Yesterday, I FINALLY completed the sanding and priming phase of the never-ending Stairs Makeover. Don’t even get me started on the upstairs. Suffering Husband is out of town, this project is waiting for him to attack it.
This is pretty much the attire I have been donning.

All the noise and dust in our home over the past few days has caused some strange things to happen around our here. 11 year old son decided to be extremely helpful and offered to sand all my scrap fence boards. Now they are prepped and ready for future projects.
The atmosphere seems to be normal outside as my Hydrangeas and Crockpot Planter are surviving. The dust must not be reaching them.
As soon as Suffering Husband leaves, the house knows this and reacts accordingly. The sprinklers are malfunctioning again and causing the local wildlife to act nervous.
I also found a very deep hole in our yard. Someone has been digging for Aliens, and apparently discovered one of them. It looks like it is still contained in the hole. Let’s keep it that way.
Signing off now. Life is beginning to wake up here and the natives can be hostile when they are not fed. Wish me luck and the ability to endure another day.

Good for you for tackling a stair project. When got as far as ripping off the carpet. Then we stopped and paid someone to finish. I know how big of a project that is. You’re a better woman than I. What kind of hydrangeas are those? They are gorgeous. I have never seen that reddish color.
OH my….definitely aliens afoot. At least your pet doesn’t kill the first chipmunk he encounters after Alpha Dog leaves and deposits it in front of your painting staging area awaiting kudos. *rolling eyes* I can’t wait to see your stairs all done up!
Lol — hang in there!! Sounds like you’re suffering more than Suffering Husband!!

just wondering how you get your hydrangeas to look so good, mine doesn’t seem to grow, do you feed it with fertilizer or just water? thanks
Greetings ! very helpful lad you have there 😀 Both look like you are really having fun :). Everybody loves your flowers too.
The sprinkler shot was the best! That’s exactly the kind of thing that happens here when my husband goes out of town…except it usually to something we need…like the Internet.
Haha, sounds like a fun week. Your hydrangeas look so pretty!
HaHa, you are such a nut. Glad the gorg plants and flowers are surviving the dust storm:)
I have the exact same table as the one you have in your garden! I though it was so unique when I found it. I guess not : ) Mine’s sitting in my overly full garage. Good luck with the stairs! I’m excited to see how they turn out.
