Link Party #117 and I am Hitting the Road!

Uncategorized

Happy almost weekend!  Some of you may be enjoying the last days of Summer break.  We enjoyed those days back in July.  We start early in my parts and my kids will be going on their 4th week of school next week.  We are taking the slow road down to So Cal to check out fun and funky shops and hopefully some junk!  I am of course bringing my crown!

I will be sharing updated road trip posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.  Follow us along with the fun!

Speaking of creativity.  WOW!  There was some major creativity going on last week.  Thank you so much for sharing!

One more theme, thing…. heehee.  A “Theme” always seems to appear without me meaning to go with a them.  This week the theme is unusual blog names.  Love them!

I love Cindy at Cottage Instincts.  She is not only super talented, but hilarious too.  She is in the middle of a home build, but while she is waiting, she created this gorgeous table.  I love the color, the details.  The whole thing just says “happy” to me.

I love bent back chairs.  Funny because after I was admiring Cassie’s at Primitive and Proper, I found three myself at a garage sale for just a few dollars each!  I love this version of the chair from Allison at Refunk My Junk.  (Don’t you love that name?).  She spiffed up these chairs with CeCe Caldwell’s Vintage White and some good Tung Oil.  Allison has a fantastic tutorial on how to create a chair like this for your own home, or to sell!

In the words of Monty Python….And Now for something completely different.  (Sorry if you are too young and  have no clue to what I am referring).  Anywho….Lauren from If it’s Not Baroque created this fab chalkboard door for the entry to her office, then she went on to do it to all of the interior doors of her home!  Get tired of moulding?  Just erase it!  This is a bold move, but I love it.

I know Ann Marie from Twice Lovely was just over here, but I have to share this piece!!  I would never think to take this Art Deco vanity and make it looks so totally urban.  Ann Marie gave it a fabulous makeover, perfect for the Urban Chic boys room she is creating.  Check out those sprinkler head drawer pull and the leather straps!

If you hang out here often, then you know how much I love adding wheels to anything I can.  Even my desk is on these cool modern legs on wheels.  I think it says something about my personality, that I to be able to move things around.  My family is lucky I don’t go around here on roller skates.  Remember “Heelys”? I secretly wanted a pair to roll around the grocery store when no one was looking.  Back to the point here!!!

From Twelve O Eight, Tanya took this lovely basket, and added the little wheels for better storage.  Totally awesome Pottery Barn knockoff, and hers was way cheaper.

And finally, I have to include Cassie from Primitive Proper’s walls.  They are just so cool.  Or hot.  Or just uber wow.  It is a color like this that makes me really wish I had a separate dining room to do some sophisticated color in.  Maybe I could repaint my office and add dining table in here.  Or not.   I will just admire Cassie’s from afar.

Now it’s your turn to share what your Redouxs! Now for some boring rules, but BE NICE and play along:
