Are you over the age of 35?  Did you watch Seinfeld religiously in all it’s glory and through reruns?  If you did, then you might remember “can you spare a square”.

Today, can you spare a chair?  I am much more generous with my chairs than the character Jamie Gertz played, hoarding her squares of Toilet Paper from the person stranded next to her…….

I can in fact, spare two!

I bought these chairs recently (more like they were given to me with the promise of hauling off more stuff) from my friend who has having a clearing house of a garage sale.  They were the easiest chairs to paint.  I used CeCe Caldwell’s Texas Prairie on the black chair.

Omaha Ochre on the red/brown chair.  The chairs were not in perfect condition, but the heavy distressing I did just added to the character.

Total time painting both chairs.  About 20 minutes.  I sealed them with CeCe Caldwell’s Endurance, the next day, (paint needs 24 hours to cure before applying this hard wearing finish).  The paint and Endurance went on so fast and easily,  I had more than two chairs to spare.  I had time to spare!

Now that was easy,  and you won’t find me running out of a bathroom stall with my arms loaded down with Toilet paper either, just to get even.  (O.k. if you are lost at my references, sorry, you missed some funny stuff)

My chairs are taking turns sitting for these parties:

That episode was just on yesterday!! I tried to get my 12 year old son to watch, but he didn’t get it. Meanwhile he loves Futurama–I don’t get THAT!
Love the chairs and the fact you could get them done so quickly!
