Welcome to another edition of Trashy Tuesday. Go ahead, trash talk me all you want. This is officially Part Deux, of “Don’t Hate Me because I Have Good Junque”. Do you remember this Galavanized Metal suitcase I found, complete with Casters?????? You can read all about that in the link.
I got something even better. But I cannot take credit this time for finding them. One of my students, now fellow consignor at Paris Flea, Liisa, gave me these chairs!!!!!! She said she realized it was more work than she wanted to do so would I like them? Would I like them??? Do I root around in garbage just to find anything close to this nice? YES!
The pictures do not even do them justice. And, there are FOUR of the chairs, and one arm chair.
They are solid, well made, and she saved the seats and everything. I just need to find new fabric to do them justice. I am just doing a happy Junque dance over here at my soon to be emptied garage.
And…..because I really am sticking to my rule about not bringing more furniture home, I have to look for smaller things. This morning I had an inkling to cruise around for garage sale leftovers. I went on my usual route to my favorite Apartment Dumpsters, but saw the signs for a garage sale that had happened this weekend. Sure enough, several FREE boxes were out front.
I got boxes of glass ornaments, perfect for Paris Flea Market in December.
A few lovely frames, I will always take Free frames.
And a gallon zip lock bag full of fuzzy silk poinsettas in Mauve…….
Mauve. I will just let that hang there.
I don’t think Mauve is coming back, but maybe I can spray paint them into 2013.
If you get a Silk Poinsetta in Mauve in your stocking for Christmas. It was from me. Hope you have a totally Trashy Day.
oh those chairs are AWESOME!
Can you believe someone gave me those for free? I am trying to find a space in my home for them, I don’t think I can part with these! They are so me!
Those chair rock!! Don’t know about the mauve though…hmmm…maybe you could paint them? Nah…it’ll come back in if you hang on to the long enough! 🙂
I think the Mauve is definitely gone for good. Some things should never come back!
Fabulous chairs, I can’t wait to see your makeover for them!
Thanks so much Susan. I wish I had the time right now to work on them!
Glass ornaments in a box! For free?! w00t w00t!
I know, can you believe that one?
Mauve and hunter green – yes I had that back in the early 90’s. I’m not proud!

Oy Vey!!! I remember mauve, eesh 😀 I love the chest on casters, so cute and those chairs, stunning!! I’m looking forward to seeing what fabric you pick out 🙂
Who knew talking trash could be so productive!
My trash always talks. The problem is I listen too closely.
those chairs are stunning im in lust lol
Um, yum!!! Those chairs are a-mazing! I can’t wait to see what you do with them! XO
What’s wrong with mauve?
Ha!
Ummmm. It makes me think of the Prom Dress I wore that doubled as my sister in law’s brides maid dresses. I was 15 and it looked just like Princess Diana’s wedding dress. Big and Poofy everywhere!
LOL…you better not send it my way lol. Those are cool chairs Karen.
Debbie!! I am going to do just that. I can only imagine how fabulous those mauve silk poinsettas will look after you get finished with them!
