Welcome to Trashy Tuesday. The Thanksgiving edition. Well, not really, it just happens to fall on the week of Thanksgiving. However, I found extra good stuff this week, it was like the Trashy Universe conspired to give me extra good junqe to be thankful for.
I am grateful for this super cute (will be) chair Emma gave me!! 2014 will hopefully find me wielding my upholstery gun.
I am grateful I can see the light. Can you see the light? I am thinking something funky with small lampshades.
I am grateful for surprises. Like this amazing wood box with amazing detail I found at an apartment Dumpster Dive.
I am grateful when I opened the box, there was another smaller version, in almost perfect condition inside!!! Like a Russian Nesting Doll, but the furniture version. How cool is that?
I am grateful I found this PERFECTLY new craft organizer. I can use this for reals when I teach CeCe Caldwell paint classes at Paris Flea Market! Plus that purse in the background that I don’t think my daughters will want, but it will be happier in a thrift store than the bottom of a landfill.
I am grateful whoever threw it out left me some tools too.
I am grateful it has zippered pockets and I got a bunch more loot with it.
I am grateful for the fun surprises I find that other people may find useless. Like this cool industrial vibed Wine Crate that could be repurposed to something fun if I add wheels!
I am grateful for the strange things I occasionally find. Like my friend Manny. He was tired on Sunday and decided to lay down and read the funnies. He fell asleep and my kids tucked him in so he would be nice and cozy.
I am grateful to be able to hunt for junque each week. I am grateful to be able to restore some of the stuff I find and give it new life.

Oh I can’t wait to see what you do with the lamp! I rack my brain for good solutions for those. I have one too, in all black (90’s style!) with it’s 3 lamps. I can’t get rid of it because it gives off amazing light, but it’s not the most darling thing ever. I know if anyone can save one, it’s you! Can’t wait to see 😀
