Happy Trashy Tuesday! I had the BEST JUNQUE filled week. There is a universal law of empty and full. When I have just about emptied my garage and upcycled almost all my junque, I find enough to fill it up again!
I found this footstool that just needs a cleaning up, paint and a new top. Over all, not bad! Try to not notice the post workout me in the photo…
I found this topless cabinet that could use some wheels, maybe shelves inside, and um yes, a top.
I found this lovely Cherub artwork. I mean it, I thought it was lovely. The decoupage wrinkles just add to the charm!
Dinner in the Dumpster? Not quite, but I did find all of this stuff in a box of household things that happened to be in an industrial area near Paris Flea Market…..Unopened Orzo Pasta, Celery Seed, Bay Leaves, Thyme, a nice looking bottle of formerly Olive Oil, a Pyrex measuring cup, a cookie sheet, Grate, an opened package of envelopes, roll of Scotch Tap and a full bottle of Stain Remover!
It’s like one of those games you play at a baby shower, where the host brings all the items on a tray and you only get to look at it for a few seconds, the winner is the person who writes down the most things that were on the tray. Ready, go! Don’t scroll up!
Who doesn’t need another cabinet door?? I liberated this door from a cabinet. Will make a nice chalkboard, or something like that.
I went back and forth on the decision to take this perfectly good crib home. But through the magic of my smartphone and Pinterest, I can do field research right on the spot! With a quick search of Pinterest, I was able to find dozens of fabulous ideas for crib upcycling. My favorite was a toy bench from an old crib by Gail at My Repurposed Life.
And finally, this table came to its final resting place today. I like the apron on it, and I think I can salvage a little more of it. It looked a sad victim of furniture neglect.
Hope that was trashy enough for you. See you next week.
Score!!! 🙂
WOW! you really scored it big time.
Like the legs on your footstool.
As for the cabinet, you can always remove the doors, stand upright and put shelves in it and use as book shelf, nick knacks, put in bathroom for towel storage, etc. Great possibilities for that cabinet.
The kitchen products…amazing what people will throw away.
Many, many uses for the baby crib.
You really done good in your dumpster diving
It ceases to amaze me how many awesome pieces you find over there! If warm weather isn’t temptation enough, all the junk is ~ I’m packing my bags an heading West!! I LOVE that table! What awesome detail!! They just opened a new store near us and my neighbor who works there was telling me I’d be just sick with what they were throwing out. Full dumpsters full of slightly damaged furniture… but they won’t let anyone get near it. 24/7 security guards watching them to make sure the landfills get higher. I get that they don’t want anyone to get injured, but they could leave the furniture next to the dumpsters; they’d save themselves a whole lot of money and provide numerous re-purposers with endless amounts of treasures.
I am always inspired here! your talent is limitless. love the recycling!

I know about things being dumped. Last week my set of car keys, door clicker for the car, all those little plastic store cards and who knows what else hit the dumpster. Didn’t figure it out until it was way too late. I miss all of it!
You sure do find some gOOd junque!
Totally would have given you a run for the money on the little foot stool–
I have a thing for legs! ; D
