The Best DIY Link Party and Fab Features, #148

Uncategorized

Did this week really happen?  Monday was my birthday!  My friends and family were oh so good to me. But I think the week has flown by since then.  Maybe a side effect of turning 45?  I have been moving at a blurring pace.  I have Paris Flea Market this weekend, and just coming off of two weeks of a school break = working non stop!

I  have tons to share soon, including my new weekly DIY collaboration that starts tomorrow, so be sure to come back! I would love for you to keep up with my upcycling, dumpster diving, furniture refurbishing antics! Follow me on FACEBOOK, TWITTER and INSTAGRAM. I am sharing more and more that you won’t want to miss.

Enough about moi, let’s check out what you shared!

This table from Shabby Love is adorable with the HUGE star on it. What a lovely new twist on an old standard side table.

I know from years of doing custom painting jobs that kitchens and bath painting can be SO MUCH WORK!!! Laura from the Turquoise Home has the perfect tutorial sharing exactly HOW TO paint your cabinets, the check list of supplies, every step. And you don’t have to own any fancy tools, sprayer, etc to get a custom perfect look.

I love a good Coffee Table makeover. They can be hard to do something original! Firefinish actually took this Coffee Table that had tile topping the inside, and she hammered it out!! And instead of just inserting any old piece of wood, she filled it with pallet wood cast off pieces.  I love the rustic look.  Totally makes this Coffee Table look like a custom piece.

And to end with, my friend in real life and a fellow “Flea” at Paris Flea Market, Betsy From My Salvaged Treasures. (Betsy is over the top talented with bits and pieces of junk, you MUST check out her blog to see what I mean).  This was a sewing table, but all that she could salvage were these few parts.  Betsy turned it into an adorable bookshelf!
