Trashy Tuesday Dumpster Dive Free Chair

Dumpster Diving Diaries, Le Junque

Happy Trashy Tuesday!   You won’t believe what I found this past week!  The coolest Dumpster Dive Free Upholstered Chair!

If you are a regular here, you know how much I love FREE FURNITURE.  And you know how hard it is for me to pass on some good Free Furniture.

I have been exercising a bit of self control, because really, what good are all those potential Trash to Treasure pieces if I can’t exactly give them a proper DIY Furniture Makeover?

If I have too much Free Furniture floating around my garage.  I usually do a Free Furniture Give away when it’s been weeks since I could get my car in the garage. I recently did one of these purges.  It’s a great way  for my whole neighborhood to get Free Furniture, haha!

Speaking of Free Furniture Giveaway.  I really could not believe my luck when I came upon this Free Upholstered Chair.  There it was, tossed into the Dumpster like yesterday’s trash.

Lucky for me, I pulled it out, the ONLY thing wrong with it is the arm needs to be reglued.  That’s it. Solid construction, no bugs, no saggy inards.  It’s a very well made free chair!  And bonus!  It fit perfectly into my car 🙂

Since I am short on time for DIY these days, I am going to take a short cut and use my favorite DIY Paint Clay Paint to give this Chair a Furniture Makeover.  The BEST example of how amazing DIY Paint is on upholstered pieces like this one is from Debi’s Design Diary (Of DIY Paint) in her latest YouTube Video with her Anthropology Chair Knockoff.

That is PAINT my friends.  DIY Paint is 100% Natural and is the only super pigmented Clay Paint on the market made especially for furniture.  Since it is all natural, the paint is like a magic medium.  You can use it as a dye on fabric, like Debi did on this chair.   You can pick some up if you are local at my space at Consignment Envy in Brentwood, Ca, or click below to buy some online.

After I have a chance to Makeover that Dumpster Dive Chair, I plan to turn my attention to these!

Dumpster Dive Free Cabinet Doors and Dumpster Dive Folding Upholstered Seat Chairs!  Once again, driving around on a Saturday, running my errands, and here were a bunch of these cabinet doors, just waiting for me to pick them up.

I recently became a retailer for Iron Orchid Designs Products.  Cabinet Doors are the perfect thing to make over into signs and decorative pieces with any of the gorgeous IOD Transfers and Stamps.  Like this gorgeous Cabinet Door turned artwork by the IOD themselves.

Have you tried any of the IOD products?  They are so much fun, and the creative sisters at IOD are constantly coming out with new designs.  SO amazing that I can hardly keep them in stock at my space at Consignment Envy in Brentwood, CA.

WHAT?! You didn’t grab the table? LOVE the table. Yes…. I see that one broken leg. But I’m thinking it could have been cut down if not repaired. Did you leave it behind?
