HAPPY MONDAY! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE all the versions of the Union Jack used on Furniture, accessories, etc. There are so many creative versions and interpretations of this fantastic flag with design greatness. But.....je dois faire ma propre chose. I am just not one to follow the pack. Although, I did jump on that Chalk Paint Bandwagon, and I am so happy I did! I was given this old Coffee Table by a good friend, another Broyhill cast-off. Yes ladies, we all have seen these somewhere in our design bag.... It had been well loved, but was ready for a "redoux". These pieces are made of lovely Pine, but why oh why did they put that fake-o stain on all this stuff? I think Honey ...

How To Make a Wood Pallet Planter
How to Make a Wood Pallet Planter. Dress up your Garden With Junk! Do you hang out behind warehouses? Do you see lots of pallets stacked in piles? Ever wonder what you could do with them? This is my take on a Wood Pallet Planter. Start with Small Terra Cotta Pots, I went with 8, you can do however many you decide will look good hanging on our pallet. Once I cut through the wood, I had to use a Hammer and Chizle to pop out the rest. Now I was left with this, This is what I took out, the guts: Next, I measured the inside, left side, right side, and bottom, and cut pieces the same dimensions ...
Trash to Treasure
A benefit of being a constant "redouxer" is that people are always calling you for "free" things they either have and want to get rid of, or something they saw on the side of the road. I have not been above piling my children into the car at the crack of dawn to score that free child's antique chair someone saw the night before on their way home from a party! Recently I had to have two doors made for my home and when I went around to the back of the warehouse, there was a free to me conference chair for my son's room, to go with his "free" desk. Here are some before and after pics of my "free to me's". There are more "frees" awaiting my attention in my home, will post as they get ...
