Mixology, Two Snooty French Girls, a Dresser, a Nightstand and a big mess before Happy Monday friends! It was beautiful here Friday, which was a good thing, because I was running my tail off at a very busy Paris Flea Market sale. I came home that night and went right to work again. I had to have back ups for my my back ups, things were selling so fast! Lucky for me, I had the house to myself so I could paint and make a mess to my heart's content. Trashy Tuesday – Country Style Dresser Turned Industrial Chic
Trashy Tuesday - Country Style Dresser turned Industrial Chic Do you remember THIS POST, the one where I started stripping a "Free to Me" dresser, and thought I would have the whole project completed that day? I used a paint that I mixed from Chalk Paint "Country Grey", and a whole bunch of browns and greys, trying to make it look less beige, and more grey. I was annoyed with myself at first for mixing the paint and not having it come out like I had planned, but decided to ...
How to turn your dresser into a bookshelf
How to turn your dresser into a bookshelf If you ever come across a dresser missing drawers, like this one, don't despair! You can turn it into a bookshelf. I started by taking the top drawer supports out. Sometimes they "pop" right out, sometimes you have to bring in the big guns. Next, I laid the dresser down flat and brought in my reciprocating saw, cut through the wood where it was attached at the front of the dresser. Now I was left with this, This is what I took out, the guts: Next, I measured the inside, left side, right side, and bottom, and cut pieces the same dimensions ...
