Trashy Tuesday New Idea for that Metal Bucket
Trashy Tuesday New Idea for that Metal Bucket You know, the one you threw in your garbage last week? The one I pulled out of your garbage when I was out walking my dog.... I realize you threw it away because you thought you had no use for it. And, it was a little wonky on the bottom. You didn't realize you could PAINT IT and fill it with flowers! Lucky me, I did see its potential. The first thing I did was try to undo the wonkiness by pounding on it from all sides with a hammer. Pounding on it from all sides actually made it worse. I then tried pounding it from each side to make it "even". This did not quite work out either. I realized I had spent 5 minutes pounding ...

Vintage Industrial Dumpster Desk
Vintage Industrial Dumpster Desk It's been a while since I have shared a good Dumpster Dive Makeover, and I am over do. So much, that I thought you needed to see me as well ;) It's themed furniture day! Each month I team up with a group of DIY Blogger friends and we share our interpretation of the month's themed furniture makeover. This month it was Vintage Industrial. Let's start with just the vintage. As in, found in a dumpster, and where I found it? Let's just say the previous owner was definitely Vintage, as in past tense (most likely). Hey, it was going to a land fill! I decided this desk needed a balanced feminine/masculine feel. Kind of like Vintage Industrial. ...

Trashy Tuesday Dumpster Bookshelf Makeover
Trashy Tuesday Dumpster Bookshelf Makeover Happy Trashy Tuesday! I have been hanging out in the Dumpsters again, but my dirty ways are paying off. Do you remember a few months back I got this bookshelf, My Junk Network tipped me off that it was waiting for me behind Target. This is the sad state it was in. Not too bad, compared to a lot of the JUNK I find! I patched up the side. Then added panels made from the bottoms of drawers to the side! I painted them with Chalkboard paint, then used Gorilla Wood Glue to secure them to the sides. Once the Dumped Bookshelf was patched up, I turned my attention to the beauty phase. Time for my favorite CeCe Caldwell's paints. I ...
