Trashy Tuesday Junk Crush Happy Trashy Tuesday! Welcome to my Dumpster Diving, Curbside Shopping, Garbage Digging World. Sometimes I love picking up junk so much it is crushing. Have you ever had a crush on something or someone that was so intense, it was well....crushing? Literally. Crushing. It's no secret I should have a bumper sticker on my car that says "I break for junk", and last week, this is just what I did. I got a hot tip from a friend in my Junk Network, (read more about developing your junk network HERE). Free Armoire in her neighborhood! Now let me tell you, when there is a piece of junk I want, I suddenly develop super human strength. Call it good biceps, call ...

I found things that rhyme this week and I didn't even try! My friend who is an active member of my Junk Network (which if you are a junker, you must read THIS post and develop one of your own) often texts me with free finds. This week she scored those amazing Wood Clamps. That chair was also a freebie. I have so much new JUNK that I had to spread it over several posts. Trashy Tuesday Cleaning Out the Garage
Welcome to Trashy Tuesday Cleaning out the Garage.....Again! If you are a regular around these parts, does this seem like deja vu to you? It does to me too. I have an illness, it is called Dumpsterdivitis. It is an addiction to Dumpster Diving and I can't seem to stop and it takes over my workspace. I can stop for a while, but eventually my addiction wins over and there I am in, cruising around town in my mini van, looking through other people's dumpsters. Eventually, I can't stand the mess I have made. I spend a day (or two) sorting through the junk and then I must take the rejects to the dump, or I donate what I can. If you want a chuckle, and you want to justify your ...
Blogland Tour Continues at Redouxinteriors
Blogland Tour Continues at Redouxinteriors A couple of weeks ago I was invited by Larissa at Prodigal Pieces to join the tour through Blogland. So fun! If you haven't had the opportunity to check out Larissa's blog, it is a must follow. Larissa has beautiful painted furniture, upcycled decor and a beautiful blog. Larissa also has a beautiful Etsy Store where she sells much of her upcycled home decor creations. And oh my, Larissa is busy! She has 5 children, and home schools all of them! How to Decorate a Patio with Junk
How To Decorating a Patio With Junk Happy Summer!! Where I live, it's a long hot one...... "In the depth of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer." -Albert Camus Wherever you live, whatever your plans might be this summer, I just wanted to remind you of a few things. #1 You don't need money to enjoy being outside. The only thing in this yard I paid for were the flowers, the pots, and the joint compound. I used Free to Me paint, leftover wall paint, and a sample of CeCe Caldwell's Santa Fe Turquoise. Update since this was written. I only use Debi's Design Diary DIY Paints, 100% Natural Clay Based. I would recommend Old '57 and Cake Batter for some of ...

Garage Organized using Junk. Part Deux
Garage Organized using Junk. Is your garage full of junk? Keeping your garage neat and organized is hard! Especially if you a)have children and their equipment b)restore and refurbish furniture c)collect a lot of junk. I am all of the aforementioned. Last year my friend Emma (organizer extraordinaire) came to my rescue and helped me get that unruly space under control. We spent very little money, and used mostly items I had on hand (from all my junk). More or less it has (sort of) stayed this way. But at least a system was created and I had something to build on. Here is Garage 2013. However, like every good organization system, sometimes it will need reworking. Fast forward one ...
Make a Work Bench from Wood Shipping Pallet!
Make a Work Bench from Wood Pallet! If you are new to REDOUX then you should know, I love nothing more than "FREE JUNQUE"! I have an (unhealthy my husband would probably say) obsession with things people throw away. For as long as I can remember, I have loved "making things". And if I make something useful from "junque", well even better! Like this moveable work bench from a shipping crate. Take for instance a collection of Wood Pallets put together with some nails and screws. Something you might use to ship things in. On an early morning trash hunt, I spied this next to my favorite dumpster. You know the one, where the dumpster diving folks hang out. I passed by it ...
